QUIMAPOL AL-60
LIQUID DRILLING THICKENER
Drilling Fluid A very high molecular weight anionic polymer in an aqueous emulsion, used as a drilling additive due to its high viscosity-enhancing properties.
Available in the following formats:
Description
A thickening agent for all types of drilling operations in both fresh and brackish water. (Water intake wells, PHD, foundations, etc.)
Thickening agent with foaming additives.
The combined use of QUIMAPOL AL-60 and QUIMAFOAM produces foam with greater consistency and density.
It improves drilling performance in highly plastic clay soils and/or coarse-grained soils.
Usage and Features
Adding QUIMAPOL AL-60 forms a high-viscosity gel that:
- It has some flocculating power that causes a cake to form on the borehole walls
- It is a powerful clay inhibitor.
- It facilitates the removal of debris from inside the borehole.
QUIMAPOL AL-60 is primarily used as an effective thickening agent at basic or slightly acidic pH levels (never at pH<r 5). In aqueous solution, it forms a high-viscosity gel, and its most common uses are:
