A high-purity anionic polymer commonly used in drilling through gravel, sand, and silt, as it ensures higher performance of drilling equipment. Drilling with muds formulated with QUIMAGEL AS-950 achieves maximum core recovery.

Usage and Features

Quimagel AS-950 is primarily used in drilling through gravel, sand, silt, and medium-plasticity clays:

  • Facilitates drilling at granular levels due to its “lubricating” effect.
  • To support the borehole walls and provide greater stability. To form CAKE.
  • Prevent siphoning when drilling into low-pressure confined aquifers.
  • To facilitate the removal of debris from inside the borehole.
  • To facilitate the cooling of the drill bit or drill bit crown.
