Description

QUIMAGEL XG is primarily used for drilling through granular material, clays, and silts, provided the medium is not highly acidic (pH>r 5.5). In aqueous solution, it forms a high-viscosity gel whose main applications are:

  • Facilitates drilling due to its “lubricating” effect.
  • To reinforce and provide greater stability to the borehole walls.
  • Prevent siphoning when drilling into confined aquifers at very low pressure.
  • To facilitate the removal of debris from inside the borehole.
  • To facilitate the cooling of the drill bit or drill bit crown.

Usage and Features

A rheological additive with high thixotropy, making it suitable for drilling through granular and poorly consolidated strata, ensuring thorough well cleaning.
