QUIMASEAL V-1770 is a granular polymer used to limit fluid loss during drilling.

Description
It is used in water-based mud drilling operations. Upon contact with water, it expands, sealing small cracks or cavities through which drilling fluid might escape.
When this polymer comes into contact with water, it expands to up to 100 times its original volume.
